Korean NGO Rainbow and Berry Store, delivers donations for the health item of the elderly
Korean NGO Rainbow and Berry Store joined forces to spread warmth in the community through donations for the vulnerable.
On the 19th, Korea NGO Rainbow (Chairman Kim Sun-young) held a donation ceremony in front of the Gwangmyeong Volunteer Center to receive 1t (60 boxes) of uzak from social donation platform Berry Store. Kim Sun-young, chairman of the board of directors, Kim Young-joon, director of the Gwangmyeong Volunteer Center, and staff members of the center participated in the delivery ceremony.
On this day, Berry Store delivered 25 boxes of uzak to Korea NGO Rainbow and 35 boxes of uzak to Gwangmyeong City Volunteer Center through the Cheonan Volunteer Center Federation, spreading warmth to blind spots in Gwangmyeong City, such as the disabled and the elderly living alone.
"We hope to be a small contribution to the elderly who need to take care of their health and nutrition before the hot summer, when they are prone to various diseases," said Kim Sun-young, director of Korea NGO Rainbow, in a call with Gyeonggi Ilbo. "We will continue to reach out to the underprivileged in the community and take a step closer to them."
